Was Zendaya spotted at a gay bar? Fans on Twitter seem to think so but the tweet that led to it, isn’t all it seems.
For the past day, Zendaya ‘stan Twitter’ has been full of claims that the Euphoria actress was seen at a gay bar. Most fans were excited by the prospect, taking it as a hint to her sexuality.
We hate to break it to you Zendaya fans, but it’s not completely true.

Where did the rumour come from?
The tweet in question is from user @mitskiangst on February 11th. “’ZENDAYA SPOTTED AT A GAY BAR’ okay? Fork found in kitchen c’mon now.”
With 26,000 retweets and 322,000 likes currently, the tweet has certainly gone viral and alludes to the idea that Zendaya being in a gay bar is nothing to shout home about.

Fans of the actress were quick to respond, mainly with joy at the prospect: “Zendaya was at a gay bar??? I won??” tweeted one.
“Wait was Zendaya actually spotted at a gay bar??” asked another fan.
So, was Zendaya actually spotted at a gay bar?
Although we of course can account for ever, in the case of this viral tweet, it’s not true.
Instead, the tweet is a play on another well-known joke by a K-Pop fan that takes the same form. The original however used Sehun in the tweet.
Zendaya is loved for playing Rue in Euphoria, and the show follows her journey of sexuality discovery. However, little is known about her sexuality and it’s likely she’s set to keep it that way.
When talking about sexuality shown in Euphoria, she said:
“There is something to women owning their sexuality. And I think as long as it’s done in a way where the woman is the focus, rather than male-gazing or sexualizing a female, it can be very empowering.” We couldn’t agree more.
