Windham holds second annual gay pride event – WMUR Manchester

Pride events have been popping up all around the Granite State, including in Windham, where people braved the heat for their second annual event.Sunday’s event had vendors, businesses, and church groups in attendance to show their support for the local LGBTQ+ community.People there said it’s all about inclusivity and self-expression.Some shared they want the next generation to experience more acceptance.“When I was growing up and I believe when my husband was growing up too, this didn’t kind of exist, gay marriage didn’t exist, and people didn’t know kind of how to accept or include people,” Rhys Whiteman said. Some people at the event say the Supreme Court’s decision on Friday made them want to be extra visible.
