Why Elvira isn’t surprised Madonna seemingly came out as gay – Page Six
Cassandra Peterson, aka the horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, told TMZ that she’s “not really surprised” that Madonna seemingly came out as gay this week.
“Madonna hit on my girlfriend,” Peterson, 71, said, referencing partner Teresa “T” Wierson. “She wanted to hire her as a trainer, but it was obvious that she wanted more than training.”
The “Queen of Halloween” – who also stunned fans when she revealed her 19-year romance with Wierson last year – clarified that this interaction happened “a long time ago.”
“Madonna has always said she’s pretty fluid. I mean … she’s kissing Britney Spears,” she continued, referring to the iconic 2003 MTV VMAs moment when the “Material Girl” singer kissed Spears and Christina Aguilera.
Peterson also brought up Madonna’s reported romantic relationship with model Jenny Shimizu in 1996.
As previously reported, Madonna, 64, went viral on TikTok over the weekend after seemingly coming out as gay.
While the “Vogue” singer has previously alluded to her sexuality, she’s only had public relationships with men.
“I think everybody has a bisexual nature. That’s my theory. I could be wrong,” she said in a 1991 profile for Advocate.
The Queen of Pop has yet to address the true meaning behind the TikTok or elaborate on her sexuality, but she’s most recently been rumored to be dating rapper Tokischa.
The two packed on the PDA in several photos posted to Instagram last month that teased them making out for the music video of her remix “Hung Up on Tokischa.” Prior to the posts, they also shared a smooch while performing at a concert together during a New York City Pride event in June.
Madonna was previously married to actor Sean Penn from 1985 to 1989 and to film director Guy Ritchie from 2000 to 2008.
