Hollington Drive
ITV, 9pm
Hollington Drive is the sort of desirable cul-de-sac in an idyllic suburb beloved of the makers of TV dramas, featuring immaculate new-build houses with vast kitchen diners opening out on to well-kept gardens, where Boden-clad children frolic and adults drink wine as though it’s water and tend to barbecues. In real life nothing much happens in the ’burbs, but in ITV land you’re never that far away from a tragic event, and so it comes to pass in the first of four episodes of a new thriller written by Sophia Petzal (best known for Blood, the 2018 Channel 5 drama that starred Adrian Dunbar).
