ROXANE GAY: The role of feminism right now, I think, is to remind ourselves that complacency is what got us to where we are. And we cannot be complacent. It’s not to say we have to suffer, be miserable. We can enjoy our lives. But we also have to be militant and radical and really make ourselves and people around us uncomfortable. So that we create change.
