Eric Rowe, Miami Dolphins- The Dolphins win streak came to an end on Thursday Night Football, as they fell to the Bengals 27-15. Despite this, Rowe had a solid game. He picked up three tackles, with one being a huge fourth down stop. In coverage, he did not allow much, allowing three catches on three targets for 26 yards. Over the course of the season, Rowe has allowed 13 catches on 14 targets, but opponents are averaging just 9.1 yards per reception and Rowe has not allowed a catch over 16 yards.

Cody Barton, Seattle Seahawks- Barton had a rough day in the Seahawks 48-45 road win over the Lions. He picked up four tackles, with three constituting a failure for the Lions offense. In coverage, he was targeted three times, and allowed two catches for 37 yards, while also recording his first pass breakup of the year. While the stats aren’t bad, the film is not too encouraging, as Barton failed to get off blocks and recognize who had the ball in some vital moments of the game. While this was far from his best performance, Barton has played over 45 snaps in every game this season, and it is clear that he is a staple on Pete Carroll’s defense.

Devin Lloyd, Jacksonville Jaguars- In his first game since being named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month, Lloyd put together yet another tremendous performance. He recorded 14, yes 14 tackles, with seven of them constituting a failure for the Eagles’ explosive offense. In coverage, Lloyd allowed seven receptions on seven targets, for 68 yards. Up to this point, Lloyd leads NFL linebackers in both pass breakups and interceptions, with six and two respectively, and he is also eighth in the NFL with 38 total tackles. According to the latest odds, Lloyd currently sits at +200 to win NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year, which means a $100 bet on him would result in a $200 profit. He started the year at +1750 to win the award, so his productive first four weeks have certainly not gone unnoticed.

Britain Covey, Philadelphia Eagles- Covey was only able to return one punt for two yards, but he excelled at returning kickoffs, returning three for 69 yards, his best performance to date. Covey looks to be embracing his time in Philly, as after the game he went on Instagram Live and recorded him and his teammates celebrating their 4-0 start by dancing to Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares” in the locker room. The Eagles team this year is electrifying and super likable, plus with them having Covey on the roster it gives me a reason to watch them week in and week out.

Zack Moss, Buffalo Bills- Moss played just six snaps in the Bills comeback win over the Ravens, carrying the ball three times for six yards, with all six yards coming after contact. With the Bills being down by a wide margin early in the game, I was expecting Moss to get more snaps because of his ability as a pass blocker, and the fact he has caught every pass thrown his way this season. In my opinion, Moss is being underutilized, and I have a feeling this could be his last season in Buffalo. I would have liked to see the Chargers snag him, because I genuinely feel he would be a great complement to Austin Ekeler, but they signed Sony Michel so that idea is out the window.

Marcus Williams, Baltimore Ravens- Williams added to his already impressive 2022 campaign with another great week. He recovered a fumble and was targeted just twice all game, allowing zero catches. It was clear Josh Allen was not willing to try his luck with Williams, who led the NFL in interceptions heading into the contest. Over the past two weeks, no one has tested Williams much, as he has only been targeted three times. He currently ranks tenth in the NFL in pass breakups, with four, and second in the league in interceptions, with three.

Garrett Bolles, Denver Broncos- Bolles held his own against an elite Raiders pass rush that sports the likes of Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones, two of the best and most efficient pass rushers in the NFL. He allowed zero pressures and was the only Broncos offensive lineman to do so. Bolles did however commit two penalties, but overall, it was a solid effort from the former first round pick. Bolles also went viral, attempting to make a diving tackle while Raiders defensive back Amik Robertson returned a Melvin Gordon fumble. His wife had a good laugh at it on twitter.

Matt Gay, Los Angeles Rams- Gay was responsible for all nine Rams points on Monday Night, as he made three field goals on three attempts. None of the kicks were from more than 39 yards out, but Gay added another perfect night to what was already a perfect resume. He is now 14/14 on kicks this year, with seven being extra points and the other half being field goals. Gay is among four NFL kickers who have attempted more than five kicks this season and are yet to miss. Out of those four, Gay has made the longest attempt, a 57-yarder in week one.

Mitch Wishnowsky, San Francisco 49ers- Wishnowsky punted four times in the Niners 24-9 win over the Rams last night, with one punt landing inside the twenty, one landing in the endzone, one landing out of bounds, and one being fair caught. It wasn’t Wishnowsky’s best night, but he was still solid, and none of his punts got returned, which means on the year, his punts have been returned for a mere six yards.
