Outside A Stage in Time, a modest antique shop stashed along the Delaware River, a sign reads: “Antiques with a Mission.” The slogan is meant to reference the mission-style furniture stowed within: hand-crafted maple and walnut tables, chairs, and dressers.
But for co-owners Peter Prorok and Ramon Robledo, their Lambertville store is a manifestation of a mission that’s much greater, at once simple and complex: A quest for acceptance.
