What’s the match?

London Spirit host Oval Invincibles in the London derby in the latest game of the women’s 2022 Hundred competition.

When is it taking place?

The match is scheduled to commence at 3.30pm BST on Saturday, August 27.

Where is the match being played?

This match will take place at Lord’s, with the men’s fixture between the same teams following this match.

Who’s got the form?

It’s a London derby that looks a tall order for a Spirit side languishing towards the foot of the table.

Just the one win from their four matches means their tournament is all-but at an end barring a minor miracle, whereas Invincibles arrive at Lord’s full of vigour in second position. They’ve won three of their four matches.

Chasing the unbeaten Southern Brave looks out of reach, but victory for Invincibles would go a long way in securing their status in the next stage. And it’s been with the ball where they’re most effective: Alice Capsey, Ryana Macdonald-Gay and Sophia Smale have five wickets apiece.

What’s the team news?

London Spirit have no injury concerns ahead of their penultimate match at Lord’s.

Capsey returned to the Invincibles side and has been a valuable asset ever since, and they are likely to keep the same side as they look to cement their place in the next round. Marizanne Kapp was rested last time out as a precaution.

What’s the key match-up?

Anyone versus Beth Mooney. London Spirit may have had a Hundred tournament to forget, but the Australia international has had an excellent campaign, topping the run-scoring charts with an impressive 201 runs.

But the support has lacked significantly – Amelia Kerr’s 88 runs comes closest – and with a potent bowling attack set to face them, there is cause for concern, amplified by Invincibles’ effectiveness with the bat through Lauren Winfield-Hill and Suzie Bates.

Can I get tickets?

There are limited tickets remaining for this match.
