The Gay Golden Globes – Advocate.com

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization that hands out the Golden Globes, is looking to make a comeback this year following criticism over a lack of diversity.

The ceremony was dropped by NBC in 2022, but it returns this year to the small screen with substantial queer representation. Out comedian Jerrod Carmichael will host the event, which will feature queer nominees such as Aubrey Plaza for her work in The White Lotus, Jeremy Pope for The Inspection, and Hannah Einbinder for Hacks.

And as if things couldn’t get gayer, Ryan Murphy will be celebrated with the association’s lifetime achievement award.
