The final trailer for Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated (and oft-delayed) film The Eternals just dropped today, and it’s blessing us with even more glimpses of Phastos, the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s reportedly first gay superhero!

Played by Tony- and Emmy-nominated Atlanta star Brian Tyree Henry, Phastos is (thanks to character profiles published recently by Entertainment Weekly) “a brilliant inventor with a mind for creating weapons and technology” and set to make history as the first out gay superhero in the history of the MCU.

“I never in a million years thought I’d be a part of the MCU,” Henry told EW. “I have always been a huge fan. I’ve been obsessed with the concept of superheroes and the concept of mankind needing saving. And I think that when you get these group of people together, who just have these intimate senses of super powers and saving humanity, it’s something that we all kind of need. It literally brings everyone together regardless of where you’re from. I’m still freaking out that I’m a part of it.”

While not much was revealed in terms of plot (other than that the Eternals are a group of powerful beings who have been on Earth for centuries and have to reunite against a common enemy), this last trailer for the film finally gives LGBTQ+ fans who have been dying to see some glimpses and dialogue from Henry’s Phastos what they want, as we finally get to see him in action with the rest of the A-List Eternals crew, the likes of which include Gemma Chan’s Sersi, Richard Madden’s Ikaris, Kit Harrington’s Black Knight, Salma Hayek’s Ajak, bisexual icon Angelina Jolie‘s Thena, Ma Dong-seok’s Gilgamesh, Lauren Ridloff’s Makkari, Lia McHugh’s Sprite, Barry Keoghan ‘s Druig, and Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo.

We’ll have to wait and see if the gay representation we’re getting in The Eternals is worthy of all the hype, but for now, we’re staying optimistic, especially since the trailer makes the film look incredibly epic!

The Eternals opens in theaters on November 5.
