A Supreme Court justice on Friday temporarily granted Yeshiva University’s request to block lower-court orders requiring it to recognize an LGBT undergraduate club under New York City antidiscrimination laws.
The temporary order by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who oversees the judicial circuit that covers New York, suggests the full Supreme Court is giving consideration to Yeshiva’s request.
