Stranger hurled anti-gay slurs, punched man on J train, cops say – New York Post
A stranger hurled anti-gay slurs at a man and then attacked him on a Brooklyn subway train, cops said.
The 23-year-old victim was on a northbound J train at the Broadway Junction station around 11:30 p.m. Aug. 26 when another man approached him and snarled, “I’m not with that gay s—t,” police said.
The suspect then punched the victim in the head multiple times, cops said.
The victim refused medical attention for bruising to his lip.
The assailant stayed on the train and has not been arrested, police said. Police released a surveillance image of him late Thursday.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
