STEAM Spooktacular wows at Spring Hill – The Citizen.com

Spring Hill Elementary was the spot for family fun at their STEAM Spooktacular.

The STEAM Spooktacular was a school-wide event that allowed all students, families, and teachers to interact and engage in educational and fun activities. There were 12 Halloween STEAM activities for students in pre-k to 5th grade. Students and their families had the opportunity to choose which science, math, and literacy activities they wanted to engage in. They had lots of fun choices like baking soda ghosts, pumpkin estimation, spider racers, and slimy sensory fun.

Along with the STEAM activities, there was also a variety of other family-fun activities like games, face painting, concessions, and trunk-or-treating. Students, teachers, and families were encouraged to dress up and enjoy the holiday fun.

“Our intention is for our students and their families to not only have fun, but to also learn together,” said 5th grade teacher Katie Gay. “We enjoy bringing everyone together!”
