Shay Mitchell, Madonna, and Emily Ratajkowski Come Out This Week! – Hauterrfly
The LGBTQIA+ movement has created a safe, warm and fuzzy space for a lot of amazing people to shatter norms and step out of the closet in recent years. The number of people coming out and fearlessly owning up to who they are has increased exponentially recently. But you know what? it’s very motivating to see our favourite celebrities own up to their identities, and sexualities and of course, represent the bright and sparkly shades of the rainbow as they come out of the closet.
On that note, it’s time to be thankful because this week has been super blessed, coming out wise. 3 of our most beloved celebrities i.e. Madonna, Shay Mitchell and Emily Ratajkowski have boldly come out this week and we really can’t keep calm.
Where And How Did These Celebrities All Come Out?
Let’s start with Madonna because there have been a lot of speculations and discussions about her sexuality over the ages and it’s about damn time she comes out and owns up to her fabulous sexuality and identity.
She shared a video on TikTok, of herself participating in the ‘If I Miss I’m Gay’ challenge and then she purposely missed the very easy shot. She was then seen throwing her hands up in acceptance with a smile following which she, of course, turned away from the camera with her hands on her hip because why not? It’s Madonna. Fans strongly believe that this was her way of finally, coming out of the closet as gay and they have been congratulating her for the same.
Fans have been obsessing about Shay Mitchell’s sexuality for ages now. I think it all started with Pretty Little Liars and we’ve all been exceedingly curious. She seems to have answered our questions this week.
Shay Mitchell has put up a new TikTok video, with a not-so-subtle message for her fans. This is a duet with a post asking, “If you identify as bisexual, do you own a green velvet couch?” Shay has filmed herself alongside this and although she stays silent during the clip, she does make a point of plopping down onto a fabulous green velvet couch. Fans have definitely taken her not-so-subtle hint and have been celebrating the news as well as congratulating her.
Now coming to the well-known and beloved model Emily Ratajkowski. The reason that I have placed her after Shy Mitchell is the fact that she seems to have been motivated by Shay’s coming out video on TikTok, to take the move on her own too.
She posted a portion of Shay Mitchell’s video where another user asked, “if you identify as bisexual, do you own a green velvet couch?” after Shay’s not-so-subtle response to it, we see Emily who slowly turns the camera behind her to reveal the fact that she is in fact, sitting on a fabulous green velvet couch. Fans have been going crazy and thanking her for confirming her sexual orientation. They have also been congratulating her on the news.
Honestly, this is precisely why I absolutely love it when trends like these are spotted everywhere on social media. They make room and also motivation for so many people to come out of the closet. I mean users make these videos without even realising the fact that they might actually be giving a person the chance to change their entire lives and taste freedom. That just sounds so positive, awesome and beautiful, doesn’t it?
Well, it’s safe to say that this week has been a week of pure celebration and joy for the LGBTQIA+ community as they have three new celebrities bringing in more motivation for their fans than ever. I congratulate these celebrities with all my heart and hope that a lot of their fans get motivated by these videos and follow their hearts.
