Ellis French joins the Marines under the pressures of “don’t ask, don’t tell” in “The Inspection,” a film inspired by the life of New Jersey director Elegance Bratton.
Bratton became a Marine when the law, instituted in 1993, still banned openly gay people from serving in the military.
