By Sarah Jarvis (September 2, 2022, 8:51 PM EDT) — Roche Freedman LLP on Friday urged a New York federal court to let it continue representing investors suing the company behind the stablecoin tether and cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex, saying accusations against the firm’s founding partner shouldn’t warrant disqualification of the entire firm.
The law firm said in a reply to a Wednesday request from DigFinex Inc. and various other companies associated with Bitfinex and tether that recent allegations of Kyle Roche forming a “secret pact” with blockchain platform Ava Labs to sue crypto competitors don’t warrant the entire firm being terminated from the tether case.
