Ranking downtown Knoxville business logos for bars, dining and more – Knoxville News Sentinel
A sharp logo could be the difference between someone opening the door to a downtown Knoxville business or just walking past. And what makes a good logo — color schemes, readability and style – also can be what makes for a bad one.
Logos should capture the personality of a business. And in downtown Knoxville, there’s a little bit of everything, from fine dining with classy, elegant logos to entertainment venues whose logos signal a great time through bright lights and neon hues.
But when a local brewery looks corporate or a classy restaurant looks casual – that might be confusing for customers.
Growth and development editor Brenna McDermott and yours truly, downtown reporter Ryan Wilusz, have cast our votes for the best downtown business logos across these categories: breweries, bars, casual restaurants, fine dining, entertainment venues and logo displays.
Hear our picks on this week’s episode of “The Scruffy Stuff” podcast, and be sure to follow along by clicking through the gallery for a photo of each logo. You can find a gallery of all the logos at knoxnews.com.
We also picked a bonus logo and explored the other side of the coin by selecting which businesses in these categories have a logo that could use some work.
