Pop-up vaccine clinic set to open at Manchester’s G-A-Y nightclub – Manchester Evening News

A walk-in vaccine clinic will run at G-A-Y nightclub tomorrow (September 11).

People will be able to turn up at the club in Manchester’s Gay Village for walk-in sessions to get first or second Covid jabs.

Those wanting second jabs can get them 8 weeks after their first.

The clinic is running from 12-4pm and is open to people 18 and above, giving doses of the Pfizer jab.

Steps have been taken since the loosening of restrictions to protect young people from Covid.

Major events and clubs reopening have seen a rise in coronavirus cases and so Manchester City Council is imploring people to come forward for vaccines now.

Councillor Joanna Midgley, Executive Member for Health and Care, said: “It has been wonderful to see our city once again thriving in recent weeks.

“The recent pride weekend has shown what an important place the Village is for Mancunians.

“It’s fabulous to see that G-A-Y have opened their doors for such an important cause and I hope as many people take advantage of this pop up.”
