Passed Out at Burger King & High on Gay Street
Just after 3 pm, a caller reported a shirtless man acting as if he was on drugs in the 900 block of Gay Street. Police responded to the scene and took the man into custody.
A few minutes later, a caller reported a man passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked at Burger King. However, he left the area before officers arrived.
A Scioto Trail caller reported an apparently high man moving in and out of traffic at 5 pm. Officers caught up with him in front of the CVS and said he seemed to be able to take care of himself.
Overdose Victim Revived in Tracy Park
Portsmouth’s drug crisis was on full display in Tracy Park on Wednesday evening.
Just after 7 pm, a call came in of a man who was not breathing or responding to stimulus.
First responders administered Narcan to revive him. However, he refused offers to take him to the hospital or go for drug treatment.
