Chorus: The Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus will be getting audiences in the fa la la feels this weekend with a holiday concert titled “Naughty or Nice.” The singers will be joined by Broadway performer Michele McConnell and community dancers who will perform choreography by local dance company founder Michael Nickerson-Rossi. Expect to hear everything from holiday favorites such as “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” and “O Holy Night” to songs by David Bowie, Bing Crosby and Meredith Wilson.
The chorus will perform Friday through Sunday at the Annenberg Theater.

Americana: The Dust Bowl of the 1930s inspired author John Steinbeck and Folk singer Woody Guthrie to write and perform many songs about the devastating storms that wreaked havoc on the Great Plains. Los Angeles folk music enthusiast group Dustbowl Revival performs music inspired by that period, as well as works centered on contemporary issues such as the Parkland High School shooting in Florida.

R&B: Enjoy this Saturday holiday concert at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino headlined by the one and only Gladys Knight, aka the “Empress of Soul.” Knight is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and a recently announced 2022 Kennedy Center Awards honoree. In 2006, she recorded the Christmas album “A Christmas Celebration” with the gospel choir Saints Unified Voices, which audiences will get a taste of at this Coachella Valley performance.
