Mondaire Jones to become the first openly gay, Black member of Congress – Roll Call

Mondaire Jones won the race for New York’s 17th District congressional seat Wednesday morning, making him the first openly gay, Black man elected to Congress. Ritchie Torres, who won his election in New York’s 15th congressional district Tuesday, is Afro Latino and gay.
