Melissa D. Gay, 53, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Rolling Hill Healthcare Center in New Albany, Indiana.
Melissa was born October 10, 1967, in Corydon, Indiana, the daughter of Larry Goen and Rita Vanlaningham-Rittman.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Janette Harden) Gay of Columbus, Heather Gay of Scottsburg, Chelsea Gay, Caitlin Gay, also of Columbus; grandchildren, Kensey, Kayden, Connor, Mila, Jaylah, Jace, L.J., Jaxson, Aurora, Everlieh, Jonathan; parents, Larry Goen and Rita Rittman; brother, Larry Holland of Scottsburg; aunt, Rosemary Snider of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Melissa’s wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life will take place at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mill Race Park.
