Man punches woman at bodega after calling her anti-gay slur – 1010 WINS
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman was assaulted and called anti-gay slurs at a Bronx corner store Friday morning, police said.
The 25-year-old victim was inside of the convenience store at 120 Hugh Grant Circle in Parkchester around 11:30 a.m. when the incident happened, authorities said.
A man came up to her and punched her in the mouth with a closed fist after using an anti-gay slur, according to officials.
Emergency responders treated the woman at the scene for minor injuries. The suspect fled the scene.
Cops said the man they are looking for has a dark complexion, is in his late 30’s and is about six feet tall. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with plastic bags around his feet, dark color pants wearing a mask.
The incident is being investigated as a hate crime.
