“Mama June” Shannon and Famous Drag Queens “SAY GAY” in New Streaming Series, #THEDISH – PR Web

“Mama” June Shannon and a gaggle of famous drag queens are invading the Treasure Coast, Florida to launch a new “reality” show in Aquetra Media’s new absurd scripted faux-reality series, #THEDISH, of which episode 1 is now streaming free on Tubi TV:

Executive produced by and starring Mama June and Adam Barta, the show focuses on Shannon heading down to the Treasure Coast, Florida to help Barta start a reality TV show. The only catch is that they have no idea what to make the show about, so they enlist the help of drag queens Daya Betty, Tammie Brown, Stacy Layne Matthews, Detox, Janey Jacké, Jaymes Mansfield and Pandora Boxx across five episodes. Also popping in are guest stars pop royalty Debbie Gibson and fiery political commentator David Pakman.

In August, Shannon and Barta got into a legal battle, where she she claimed she wasn’t given proper credit and won credit as an executive producer. Forging ahead Shannon promises the show will be “nothing like you’ve ever seen before.”

She also says on working with the queens,

“I love going to Drag Shows myself. RuPaul has been on the circuit many years, made a brand for himself and it worked. He brought a light to the drag industry. I would love to be a judge on the show, but for now working with these amazing queens will suffice. If I would [relate most] to anyone it would be Janey Jacke.”

Daya Betty who was a finalist on the most recent season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” joins the show in episode 3 as a mysterious villain. Also featured in the series are stars Patricia Krentcil (“Tan Mom”), who Howard Stern fans will enjoy, and viral Tik Tok star Cynthia Beaumont.

In the pilot episode Tammie Brown stars as the narrator of the story of a group of reality star wannabes attempting to make it big on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Each competing for a spot on the show, chaos ensues as they all vie for a piece of the spotlight.

Episode titles include: “Cake Bossy (2)”, “Tattoo Far (3)”, “Ryan’s Hope (4)”, and “Siesta Peeved (5)”. The rest of the episodes are slated to be released this Fall and Winter of 2023 with episode 2 releasing this November.
