Fake freckles have been a thing since some time now with freckle ‘pens’ being an easily available makeup tool. However, that didn’t quite cut it for the TikTok brigade. The latest fake freckle look involves dotting them on your face with henna. Now this is problematic for several reasons. “The henna that is available in the market is usually not FDA-approved and contain dyes and chemicals. It’s a definite no-no for the face as it can cause allergic reactions and sensitivity,” explains Dr. Agarwal. Also, remember, the henna will be on your face for a long time, which means so will the reactions, if any!
