Live updates from the final round of the Senior Players Championship – Canton Repository

Jerry Kelly and Alex Čejka finished the third round Saturday sharing the lead in the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship at Firestone Country Club.

Kelly and Čejka are at 9-under-par for the tournament on Firestone’s South Course.

Steve Stricker and Steven Alker are tied for third at 7 under. 

Ernie Els is fifth on the leaderboard at 6 under.

Kelly, the 2020 Bridgestone Senior Players Championship champion, carded a 5-under 65 Saturday. 

Čejka posted a 67 Saturday.

Stricker, the 2021 Bridgestone Senior Players Championship champion, carded a 68 Saturday.

Alker and Els each shot a 69 Saturday.

K.J. Choi, Rob Labritz, Marco Dawson and David Toms are tied for sixth at 5 under.

Cameron Beckman, Shane Bertsch and Woody Austin are tied for 10th at 4 under.

Choi and Beckman each carded a 65 Saturday to get inside the top 10.

The final round features the past two winners (Stricker and Kelly) in the final group. Will one of them become two-time winners at Firestone or will Cejka, or someone outside of the final group, prevail?

Alex Čejka takes lead in fourth round at Firestone Country Club in Akron

Alex Čejka has played four holes Sunday on the South Course and has taken the lead at 10-under-par for the tournament, as of 11:30 a.m.

Čejka made a birdie on No. 2 to vault to the top of the leaderboard in the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship at Firestone Country Club.

Steven Alker has played five holes Sunday and is second at 9-under for the tournament.

Wisconsin natives Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker have played four holes and are tied for third at 8-under for the tournament.

David Toms and Ernie Els are through five holes and are tied for fifth at 7-under for the tournament.
