Brighton punx Lambrini Girls have shared new single ‘Help Me I’m Gay’.

The band are a cornerstone of Brighton’s queer community, with their penchant for reckless abandon and helter-skelter punk anthems creating something truly special.

Front person Phoebe Lunny kinda-sorta-accidentally came out to her family during a live-streamed show, an awkward but revelatory moment that sums up the chaotic energy that surrounds the band.

New single ‘Help Me I’m Gay’ recalls those early Bikini Kill cuts, or even Brighton forebears Huggy Bear. A blast of corrosive noise that bounds out of the speakers with a beaming smile on its face, the song wants to burst out of the boxes society attempts to put around us.

As Phoebe puts it…

“This song is about the trivialisation of queer people. Shag whoever you want, don’t let anyone put you in a box and if you do ever find yourself in one, then know you can shag your way out of it”

Tune in now.
