KINGSFORD — The Kingsford High School Class of 1970 gathered Aug. 7 at the Big 10 Sports Bar in Quinnesec in celebration of their belated 50th class reunion.

A table of sandwiches and finger foods were plentiful as classmates delved into conversation. There were many displays set up so classmates could take a walk down memory lane. Newspaper articles from their high school sporting events, Flivver Flash publications, photos from years gone by and more memorabilia were on display.

A video played on the screens of class pictures and other photographs. Music playing in the background was prepared by a classmate of songs of that era.

In addition, Zoom was made available for those who were not able to attend. A memorial table was set up with backlit pictures of deceased classmates and a toast was made in their honor.

Centerpieces were prepared with beautiful origami flowers and butterflies, encircled by classmate pictures, which attendees enjoyed looking to find their photo.

As a token, guests received can koozies with the Flivver car logo.

A total of 88 attendees enjoyed the evening and look forward to the next reunion.

Monthly get-togethers will continue and all classmates/guests are welcome. Events will be posted in the IM Daily News, as well as, the KHS Class of 1970 Facebook page.
