Kegler’s Korner: Taylor Smith rolls a pair of 300s – Williamsport Sun-Gazette
<!–
Last week in the Monday Night Classic League, Taylor Smith fired a pair of 300s, one in each of his first two games, ending up with an 847 series, to claim bowler of the week honors. Smith becomes the eleventh bowler in local association history to bowl consecutive perfect games. Meanwhile Amanda Heck carried off the women’s bowler of the week honors for her fourth time this season when she rolled a 662 series and a 268 game in the Intercommunity League.
Also exceeding the 800 mark was Shawn Pepperman who rolled an 812 series in the Thursday Night Mixed League. Shawn’s series ironically included a pair of 279 games, which, except for the lack of one strike in each game, would have matched Smith’s double perfectos just three days earlier.
Luke Hedgcock extended his local record for most career 300 games when he rolled his fifth such perfect game in the Three-Man-Major League. Chuck Wannop raised the week’s 300 count to four, when he reached perfection in the Diane Fox Memorial League.
