KC.Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr. says his stolen car has been returned – Arrowhead Addict
For those of you who have been following the saga of Willie Gay Jr.’s car this week, the K.C. Chiefs linebacker finally posted some good news three days after his ride was stolen from him.
Over the weekend, Gay’s car was stolen from him and he took to Twitter to ask for help to find out what happened and to get it back to him. The tweet has since been deleted but Gay originally posted, “All my Kansas City people My car has been stolen please retweet this” with a photo of his car attached.
By Wednesday night, Gay had posted that his car had been found and that everything was okay after all. In fact, Gay seemed to have nothing but love for those responsible.
And just in case you remained worried about the actual car after reading all of that, Gay provided another update.
It’s been a rough few weeks for Willie Gay Jr. as he’s also been forced to sit out the first three weeks of the regular season after the team placed him on injured reserve for a toe injury that clearly wasn’t healing as expected. Gay first injured the toe in the team’s final preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings and has been out ever since. That means the earliest he will be able to play is Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Being injured and having your car stolen is pretty much a winning entry for a “who is having the worst week?” contest. Now that Gay has his car back, we can only hope things continue to get better for him and that his toe is healing up just fine.
Given the way he looked in the preseason, even after missing a few games, this can still turn into an impressive breakout season for him on this Chiefs defense.
