Jazz Look To Snap Losing Streak Against Kings – KSL Sports

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz will look to snap their four-game losing streak when they host the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

The Jazz lost three straight games on the road before returning to Utah where they lost to the Miami Heat on New Year’s Eve.

The Kings meanwhile travel to Utah looking to win their third game in their last four outings.

Jazz Fall Below .500 For First Time

The Jazz sit at 19-20, below .500 for the first time this season. The team opened the year with a surprising 10-3 record, but have gone just 16-9 over their last 25 games.

Through the New Year, the Jazz have played one of the toughest schedules in the NBA with 21 of their 39 games coming on the road, with 10 sets of back-to-back contests.

After facing the Kings, the Jazz will head out on a three-game road trip through Houston, Chicago, and Memphis, before playing 11 of 13 games at home leading up to the NBA trade deadline on February 9.

The Jazz’s four-game losing streak is their second-longest of the season behind a five-game slide between November 21-28.

Despite the losing streak, the Jazz have had opportunities to win every game over the last week. The team has been outscored by a total of 15 points in the four losses.

Kings Look For Second Win Over Jazz

The Kings knocked off the Jazz on last Friday in Sacramento, representing the Jazz’s third loss in their four-game losing streak.

Sacramento beat the Jazz behind historic performances from Kevin Huerter and Domantas Sabonis.

Huerter’s 30 points marked a new career-high, while Sabonis became only the second player in NBA history to record a stat line of 28 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists, while shooting a perfect 12-12 from the field or better.

The last player to match Sabonis’s outing was Wilt Chamberlain in February of 1967.
