SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz forward Rudy Gay drained a deep three-pointer during the first quarter of Utah’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Jazz hosted the Pelicans at Vivint Arena on Saturday, November 27.
With 6:16 remaining in the opening quarter, Gay let loose on a 28-foot triple that sailed through the cylinder.
Gay’s three gave Utah a 16-10 lead.
During his first three minutes on the court, Gay had three points on 1-2 field goals, including 1-1 from downtown. He added a steal and posted a plus-15 rating during his time on the floor.
This season, Gay is averaging 9.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 17.2 minutes per contest. He’s appeared in six games for the Jazz this season.
