Jazz Add List Of Stars To Injury Report Vs. Mavericks – KSL Sports
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz may be nearly unrecognizable when they face off against the Dallas Mavericks tonight in their final road preseason game.
After announcing that Bojan Bogdanovic and Rudy Gay would miss their second consecutive games yesterday, the team added Hassan Whiteside to the injury report with left heel soreness), while opting to rest Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Rudy Gobert, and Mike Conley.
Both Ingles and Gobert also missed the Jazz preseason opener on Monday due to rest.
The announcement leaves the Jazz with just 12 available players against Dallas, and only one traditional starter from last season’s lineup in Royce O’Neale.
In Monday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs, Jazz coach Quin Snyder started Conley, Mitchell, O’Neale, Whiteside, and second-year forward Elijah Hughes.
Now, with only O’Neale and Hughes available, Snyder will have to roll out a new lineup of little-used players to fill out his rotation.
“We want to see certain lineups together,” Snyder said of changing the rotation before the Jazz faced the Spurs, “[you can’t] assume that a certain group that played a certain way during last year’s season is going to be replicated immediately.”
With the litany of players on the injury report, these are the players that will be on the active list for the Jazz tonight.
