Is Robin Gay in Stranger Things Season 4?
There is no denying that Robin Buckley is one of the fan-favorites of the show especially in Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 and there is another reason to love her other than being a comedic relief on some occasions: she is unapologetically herself.

Yes, Robin is gay. She came out to Steve in Stranger Things Season 3 and the scene is so well-written and well-acted that it is highly commendable to re-watch again. From then, Steve and Robin became the best of friends.
Robin’s sexual orientation is gay while her gender identity and her expression is a woman. These two things are entirely different concepts that need awareness especially to those can’t separate its differences.
However, Robin is not out yet to the other characters which is why she, somehow, shows some reluctance, especially with Nancy being seemingly jealous of her and Steve. Robin describes her friendship with Steve as platonic but she cannot seem to tell Nancy that she and Steve cannot happen because she is gay.

In the very first episode of Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1, Robin is riding shotgun with Steve on her way to school and she is stressed that it is so early and they have to attend a pep rally. It turns out, Robin is not actually annoyed at how early the rally is but rather, she is scrambling because her crush would be there.

Later in the episode, it is revealed that Robin’s crush is Vickie, a bandmate of hers, and she is really tongue-tied when around Vickie because she is not sure if Vickie is gay like her. Steve pointed, though, that she might be because she returned Fast Times at Ridgemont High to the store with a time-stamp on the pool scene.
Hopefully, in Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 2, Robin and Vickie could end up together but that is still subject to whether they would defeat Vecna.
