‘In from the Side’ Official Trailer Gives Us Gay Rugby & We’re There – Fangirlish

In from the Side is bringing us gay rugby club drama and honestly, we’re here for it. We don’t support adultery in any way, shape, or form. But it’s refreshing to see a gay movie where the main conflict isn’t that they’re gay in the official trailer. These men are gay and that’s it. The real drama of it all is the relationship that blossoms between two men, with one of them already in a relationship.

Written and directed by Matt Carter, it explores life on and off the pitch between Mark (Alexander Lincoln) and Warren (Alexander King). And their drunken counter leads them to embark on a romantic affair that they hide from their partners and teammates. And according to Verve Pictures, “as their secret begins to unravel, team spirit, loyalties, and camaraderie are tested” in a story about forbidden love and finding your tribe.

And even though In from the Side isn’t probably going to have a picture-perfect ending, we’re excited to see what these two actors will bring to the screen. Even more so, we’re ready to see the examination of relationships between these two men, their friends, and their partners in a field you would think would be rampant with homophobia because of toxic masculinity. In from the Side seems to be going in a different direction.
