Ram Gopal Varma, a well-known director, has not seen success in a while. Varma, the creator of timeless works like Satya, Shiva, and Company, lost his edge during the past ten years, as stated by cinegoers. When discussing those times, one cannot overlook the revolutionary movie Shiva, starring Nagarjuna. He occasionally becomes a soft target for conflicts because of his strong ideas and bluntness, yet he never hesitates to speak his heart out.
Varma has always admitted that martial arts and martial arts films are his passion. He will soon release Ladki: Enter the Girl Dragon, a woman-focused martial arts movie that makes clear nods to Bruce Lee‘s Enter the Dragon. Shiva was also influenced by a Bruce-Lee starrer, as revealed by Varma at a promotional event for the movie.

He loves Brue Lee dearly and first became inspired by his art and image when he was a little lad and watched Enter The Dragon. Talking about his fanboy moment he stated, “I am not gay, but he (Bruce Lee) was the only guy I wanted to kiss. I would like to kiss him for his very existence.”

In an interview with Etimes, he further added, “‘There is something remarkably different about Brue Lee which can’t be just his speed, it can’t be just his power. I don’t believe there is more than a 10-15 percent difference in the punching power. It is his personality, it is his screen presence, it is his eyes. He understands the power of his stay. He will give the audience the time to react to his punch. He makes them relish it.”

On the work front, Varma is awaiting the release of his movie Ladki: Enter the Girl Dragon which stars newcomer Pooja Bhalekar as a martial arts expert. The movie is slated to release in China as well.
