Sophomore Kyle Carney recorded his first varsity hat trick with three goals Monday in the Herkimer Magicians’ first win of the season at Remsen.
HERKIMER (1-3-0) – Kyle Carney scored three goals while Nick Lyga and Christian Allen each had one, and Shane Maxon and Noah Lewis each contributed one assist. Jayden Crandall made three saves.

Remsen plays at West Canada Valley Wednesday. Herkimer travels to Whitesboro for Friday’s match against the Utica Academy of Science at the Accelerate Sports complex.
OPPENHEIM-EPHRATAH-ST. JOHNSVILLE 7, FONDA-FULTONVILLE 0
The Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wolves scored five goals in the first half Monday at Soldiers and Sailors Park and defeated Fonda-Fultonville 7-0 for their 13th consecutive victory dating back to the Fall II season in the spring.

OPPENHEIM-EPHRATAH-ST. JOHNSVILLE (3-0-0) – Mason Snell scored four goals, Andrew Snell had one goal and three assists, Issiah Handy had one goal and one assist, Jordon Simzer scored one goal, and Ian Hayes had one assist. The Wolves outshot the visiting Braves 26-3 and had an 11-1 edge in corner kicks.
Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville plays at the Doane Stuart School in Rensselaer Wednesday.

SAUQUOIT VALLEY 5, POLAND 1
Andrew Dischiavo scored three goals Monday in the undefeated Sauquoit Valley Indians’ 5-1 win at Poland. The loss ended a 12-match winning streak dating back to last season for Poland’s Tornadoes.
SAUQUOIT VALLEY (4-0-0) – Andrew Dischiavo scored three goals for his third hat trick of the season. Andrew Chmukh had one goal and two assists, and Josh LoGalbo had one and one. Alex Prichard made six saves.
POLAND (1-1-0) – Carter Cookinham scored a first half goal assisted by Daetyn Jones. Hunter Conklin made five saves.
Poland plays at Hamilton Wednesday. Sauquoit Valley plays at home Wednesday against Cooperstown.

HAMILTON 3, MT. MARKHAM 2
The Hamilton Emerald Knights defeated the Mt. Markham Mustangs 3-2 Monday in the team’s second meeting in three days. The match was tied at 2 at halftime. The teams played to a 2-2 overtime tie Saturday in a Mt. Markham Optimist Tournament championship match that the Mustangs eventually won on penalty kicks. The teams play again Oct. 2 at Hamilton.
HAMILTON (3-1-1) – Will Penoyer scored two goals and Tom Simpson scored one. John Hughes made nine saves.
MT. MARKHAM (3-1-1) – Will Lunny and Ryan Denton each scored one goal. Alex Arkema made nine saves.
Both teams play matches at home Wednesday, Mt. Markham against Waterville and Hamilton against Poland.
FRANKFORT-SCHUYLER 4, ADIRONDACK 0
Connor Grates scored two goals for Frankfort-Schuyler Monday and Brayden Matos made one save in the Maroon Knights’ 4-0 shutout victory over the Adirondack Wildcats.

FRANKORT-SCHUYLER (2-1-0) – Connor Grates scored two goals and Roman Kulev and Daniel Schmat each scored one. Roman Harrod had two assists and David Schmat had one.
Frankfort-Schuyler plays the last of four consecutive home matches to start the season Wednesday against the Town of Webb.
MIDDLEBURGH 4, CANAJOHARIE 2
The Middleburgh Knights bounced back from their first loss of the season and dealt Canajoharie its first Monday.
MIDDLEBURGH (4-1-0) – Kaurice Bell and Austin Johns each scored two goals. Ian Hoop had nine saves.
CANAJOHARIE (3-1-0) – Greg Shariff and Cody Haig each scored one goal. Braden Greenslete assisted on both goals. Andrew Meka made 14 saves.
Canajoharie is home again for Wednesday’s match against Northville.
FORT PLAIN 4, SCHENECTADY-NOTRE DAME-BISHOP GIBBONS 0
The Fort Plain Hilltoppers shut out Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons of Schenectady 4-0 Monday for their first victory of the season.
FORT PLAIN (1-3-1) – Pat LeMoine assisted on goals scored by Stephen Gray, Richie Paddon and Paul Grassel. Cameron David scored the first goal of the match with an assist from Clayton Welch.
NOTRE DAME-BISHOP GIBBONS (1-2-0)
Fort Plain has a home match Friday against Middleburgh.

Fort Plain scored a goal in the opening minute of play Monday and defeated Sharon Spring 1-0 despite being outshot.
Fort Plain plays at home Wednesday against Duanesburg.

The Clinton Warriors took a lead with two goals in the first quarter Monday and defeated Herkimer 3-0.

Fulton-Montgomery Community College scored first in Monday’s rescheduled match but Herkimer College took the lead when Kayla Suppa scored the first two of her four goals before halftime. Suppa added two goals eight minutes apart in the second half and Hailey Traut had two after that.
HERKIMER COLLEGE (4-0-0) – Kayla Suppa scored four goals. Hailey Traut had two goals and two assists. Kurstin Gay, Mackenzie Magnusson, Patricia Fernandez and Natalie Little each had one assist. Isabella Smith made six saves.
