HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Saturday’s South Shore scores and … – The Patriot Ledger

Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth boys hockey coach Mark Cabral celebrated his 200th win on Saturday.

The Hawks defeated Stoughton/Brockton, 5-1, to push Cabral into the 200-win club. Colin Wilbur led the way offensively with two goals and an assist. John Whalen also had a two-goal day.

Luke Martineau scored the other goal for the Hawks (3-2-1).

Colby Strunk scored for Stoughton/Brockton in the loss.

Scituate 3, Hanover 3: Ryan Coutts, Tyler Richards and Billy Radzik scored for the Hawks.

Walpole 2, Weymouth 1: The Wildcats dropped the Bay State Conference game.

Diman 4, Blue Hills 2: The Warriors dropped the Mayflower League game.

Middleboro 4, Mashpee/Monomoy 1: Sam Steinman scored two goals for the Sachems and added an assist while Gregory Mason made 33 saves.

Norwell 2, Latin Academy 0: Nolan Petrucelli and Tim Ward scored for the Clippers.

Marshfield 4, Duxbury 0: The Rams won the Patriot League game behind a shutout from Brady Quackenbush.

Needham 2, Milton 2: Cam McDonough and Cormac Burke scored for the Wildcats.

Plymouth South 5, North Quincy 2: The Panthers won the Patriot League game.

Archbishop Williams 5, Malden Catholic 2: Finn Kelly (two), Dylan Picard, Charlie McLaughlin and Patrick Hampton scored for the Bishops.

Franklin 2, Canton 0: The Bulldogs dropped the Hockomock League game.

Pembroke 4, Quincy 3: The Presidents rallied from down 3-1 to start the third period, but the Titans netted the winner with three seconds remaining in regulation. Will Martin scored the tying goal for Quincy with 1:45 remaining. Kevin Picariello scored two goals and had an assist for the Titans and Colin Blake tallied the game winner.

Silver Lake 5, Plymouth North 4: Aiden Dunphy scored the overtime winner for the Lakers (7-1-1). Pat Murphy had a hat trick and Connor Finn added a goal.

North Attleboro 3, Oliver Ames 2: The The Tigers dropped a Hockomock League game.

West Bridgewater/East Bridgewater 5, Everett 4 (OT): WEB rallied from a 4-2 deficit and tied the game with 1.6 seconds in regulation before winning in overtime.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Plymouth South/Plymouth North 5, Quincy/North Quincy 0: Plymouth won the Patriot League game.

Milton 2, Needham 2: Molly Murphy and Mary Lovett scored and Lila Chamoun made 31 saves for the Wildcats (6-1-1).

Canton 1, Norwood 1: The Bulldogs played to a tie in the non-league game.

Pembroke 4, Hanover 2: Jen Birolini tallied a hat trick for the Titans.

Hingham 7, Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake 1: Caroline Doherty scored a hat trick for the Harborwomen (2-3-1). Chloe Duff scored for WHSL (4-3).

Norwell 7, Marshfield 3: Lainey Burns (assist) and Penny Saich each scored two goals for the Clippers. Calli Pineau had a goal and two assists and Maddie McDonald had a goal and two assists. Evelyn Sim tallied the other Norwell goal.

Notre Dame Academy 4, Pope Francis 1: Sarah Francis, Lauren White, Bridget Pellicano and Ava O’Donoghue scored for the Cougars.

Walpole 2, Weymouth 2: The Wildcats and Timberwolves played to a 2-2 tie.

Archbishop Williams 6, Malden Catholic 1: The Bishops won on the road behind six different goal scorers (Rory Shields, Kate O’Toole, Caroline Batchelder and Shea Nolan).

GY Scituate goaltender Caroline Ellis played well in the loss. Parker Metzler, Reese Porter and Maeve Gallagher scored for the Dragons.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Nauset 65, Plymouth North 47: The Blue Eagles dropped the non-league game.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Abington 53, West Bridgewater 25: Ella Williamson led the way for the Green Wave (5-4) with 19 points and 6 assists. Mary Klein (13 points, 6 rebounds) and Savvy Eriksen (14 points) were also in double figures. Kenzie Litzenberger grabbed 11 rebounds. Jenella Jacobs scored 12 points in the loss.

Marshfield 49, Silver Lake 31: Captains Sadie Ellwood (14 points), Taylor Brilliant (14) and Allie Ferris (4) led the way for the

WRESTLING

Bridgewater-Raynham scores four wins: The Trojans (10-1) picked up wins over Plymouth South (46-24), North Attleboro (60-16), Marblehead/Swampscott (60-16) and Beverly (42-38). Brent von Magnus, Jack Alves, Christian Curley, Nathan Leach, Jackson Rinke and Declan Fahy all went undefeated on the day.

Whitman-Hanson had five champions at the first Bob Gay Invitiaiton on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023. Charlie Lussier (106 pounds), Christian Grimaldi (113), Braden Kain (138), Aidan Guiliani (145) and Maddox Colclough (285) all won their respective divisions.

Bob Gay Invitational: Brockton won the first annual Bob Gay Invitational, which was hosted by Whitman-Hanson. The Panthers took second place out of the 16 teams thanks to five champions. W-H’s Charlie Lussier (106 pounds), Christian Grimaldi (113), Braden Kain (138), Aidan Guiliani (145) and Maddox Colclough (285) all won their respective divisions.

GYMNASTICS

Hingham/Hull 131.05, Whitman-Hanson 124.85, Plymouth South/Plymouth North 123.85: Standouts for W-H included: Sarah Regan (8.0 beam), Paige Happeny (8.2 floor), Katelyn Ferraro (8.3 vault) and Riley Getchell (8.2 beam, 8.4 floor).
