Here’s Your First Look At Ncuti Gatwa As the New, Gay ‘Doctor Who’ – Out Magazine

We get a short and quick look at Neil Patrick Harris’ new character, who he has teased as “the greatest enemy the Doctor has ever faced.” He’s dressed in a smart tuxedo with a tophat, white bowtie, and a white flower in his lapel.

The teaser also shows the return of Catherine Tate as beloved companion Donna Noble. While it was originally thought that Gatwa would be the 14th Doctor, know we know that Tennant is the 14th and will stick around with Tate for three 60th anniversary specials in November 2023.

Showrunner Russell T. Davies seems to be having a great time with all the chaos in the trailer. “If you thought the appearance of David Tennant was a shock, we’ve got plenty more surprises on the way,” he said in a statement. “The path to Ncuti’s Fifteenth Doctor is laden with mystery, horror, robots, puppets, danger and fun! And how is it connected to the return of the wonderful Donna Noble? How, what, why? We’re giving you a year to speculate, and then all hell lets loose!”
