STARKVILLE – Mississippi State will have plenty of players in the spotlight during Week 2 of NFL action.

Former Bulldogs will be involved in all four primetime games this week beginning Thursday night as Willie Gay Jr., Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs host the Los Angeles Chargers at 7:15.

Sunday evening will see the Green Bay Packers contingent of Elgton Jenkins and Preston Smith playing host to the Chicago Bears at 7:20. The Monday Night Football doubleheader features MSU players in both games as the Tennessee Titans’ defensive line duo of Denico Autry and Jeffery Simmons travel to the Buffalo Bills at 6:15 on ESPN while Darius Slay, Fletcher Cox and the Philadelphia Eagles welcome the Minnesota Vikings and Cameron Dantzler in the nightcap at 7:30 on ABC.

The Vikings-Eagles contest will be the only head-to-head matchup between Bulldogs this week.

After making his NFL debut last week, Martin Emerson will play in his first home game for the Cleveland Browns against the New York Jets on Sunday at noon. Logan Cooke and the Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. Indianapolis Colts), J.T. Gray and the New Orleans Saints (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Tyre Phillips and the New York Giants (vs. Carolina Panthers) will also be kicking off home games at noon on Sunday while Montez Sweat and the Washington Commanders visit the Detroit Lions at the same time.

Offensive linemen Charles Cross and Gabe Jackson will be paving the way for the Seattle Seahawks as they try for a 2-0 start at the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. while Johnathan Abram and the Las Vegas Raiders welcome the Arizona Cardinals to Sin City at 3:25 p.m.

The Dallas Cowboys will host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at 3:25 p.m. but will be without the services of quarterback Dak Prescott. Prescott sustained an injury to his right thumb in the season opener and is expected to miss several weeks.
