STARKVILLE – The playoff chase continues into Week 16 of NFL action featuring three games where teams of former Mississippi State stars will battle head-to-head.
Two of those contests take place at noon on Saturday as J.T. Gray and the New Orleans Saints travel to play the Cleveland Browns and Martin Emerson. There will be five more former Bulldogs battling when Kansas City hosts Seattle.
At 11-3, Wille Gay Jr., Chris Jones and the Chiefs have already clinched the AFC West while the Seahawks contingent of Johnathan Abram, Charles Cross and Gabe Jackson remain on the playoff bubble at 7-7.
Christmas Day features a pair of playoff bound teams with the NFC East champion Philadelphia Eagles visiting the Dallas Cowboys, who have also already clinched a postseason berth, at 3:25 p.m. Eagle defenders Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay will try to stop Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in that contest.
The Eagles won the previous matchup against Dallas 26-17 in Philadelphia on Oct. 16.
Logan Cooke and the Jacksonville Jaguars get Week 16 underway on Thursday night when they invade the New York Jets.
Denico Autry and Jeffery Simmons will try to do their part in keeping the Tennessee Titans atop the AFC South on Sunday at noon when they host the Houston Texans. Elgton Jenkins and Preston Smith will also attempt to keep the Green Bay Packers’ playoff hopes alive as they visit the Miami Dolphins at noon on Christmas Day.
Montez Sweat and the Washington Commanders also remain in the playoff hunt and will travel to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
