Fiechtner repeats on first team; Roby, Hanson picked for second team. – Watertown Public Opinion
Watertown High School seniors Jayden Fiechtner, Ryan Roby and Katelyn Hanson have been named to the South Dakota High School Soccer Coaches Association’s 2022 All-State teams.
The teams were released on Saturday during the South Dakota High School Activities Association’s state soccer championships at Tea.
Fiechtner earned Class AA Boys All-State honors for the third time, repeating as a first-team honoree after earning second-team honors as a sophomore in 2020. Roby was named to the second team.
Fiechtner tallied 15 goals and 11 assists and Roby eight goals and 11 assists for a Watertown team that went 9-3-4 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. Fiechtner finished his career with 52 goals and 42 assists and became the all-time leading goal scorer in Watertown high school boys soccer history earlier this fall.
Hanson, a goalkeeper, earned Class AA Girls All-State honors for the second-straight year. She earned first-team honors as a junior last fall and made the second team this fall, She tallied 218 saves this fall for an Arrow team that went 6-9 and lost in the opening round of the state playoffs.
