During episode 2, superstars and long-time friends Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne were seen kissing. Now fans want to know, is Selena Gomez gay?
If there’s one thing the internet loves, it’s gossip. Especially when that gossip involves two global megastars, which in this case are Only Murders co-stars Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne.
Last night showed Mabel, played by Gomez, and Alice (Delevingne) in an intimate scene that excited fans around the world.
The scene prompted some viewers to ask about Selena Gomez’s sexuality and whether she is gay.

After a successful first series, Golden Globe-winning Only Murders In The Building is back for season 2.
During the second episode of the new series, in which the gang attends a memorial service for a dead neighbour, there was one particular scene that raised viewers’ eyebrows.
While Billie Eilish played in the background, Gomez and Delevingne embraced, and Twitter couldn’t get enough.
“It’s insane how much electric chemistry Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne have, like, immediately,” wrote one fan about their on-screen relationship.
Another fan described their kiss as a “perfect end to Pride Month I never knew I needed”.
Selena Gomez’s previous sexuality comments
For anyone curious over whether Selena Gomez is gay following last night’s scene, the answer appears to be no.
Although her 2015 comments may be slightly dated, Selena Gomez addressed her sexuality extensively in a Q&A with PrideSource.
The interview came following previous rumours about Gomez and Delevingne after they were pictured together at an awards show.
Discussing her reaction to the rumours, Gomez said: “Honestly, I loved it. I didn’t mind it. Especially because they weren’t talking about other people in my life for once, which was wonderful.”
Gomez was also asked whether she had questioned her sexuality: “Oh, I think everybody does, no matter who they are. It’s healthy to gain a perspective on who you are deep down, question yourself and challenge yourself.”
So, while she didn’t flat out confirm her sexuality, there’s no evidence to suggest Selena Gomez is gay in real life.
Gomez describes acting as a couple with Delevingne
Discussing her on-screen relationship with Cara Delevingne, Gomez said their time filming was “so much fun”.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she described their scenes as “like working with a childhood friend” and told viewers Delevingne was “hilarious” and “adds so much to the show this season”.
In the same clip, Delevingne said filming with Gomez in a relationship setting felt “fun and safe” and the pair had a level of “comfortability with one another”.
So, while the pair are clearly very fond of one another, it would appear there is no off-screen romance between the actors.
