‘Family Karma’: Dillon Patel’s Dispute With Vishal Parvani Exploded From a ‘Game of Telephone’ That Turned ‘Nefarious’ – Showbiz Cheat Sheet
Dillon Patel from Bravo’s Family Karma explained why his comments about Vishal Parvani became so explosive, citing a “game of the telephone turned this into something much more nefarious.”
Patel tweeted during the latest episode and went into further detail about the exchange he had about Parvani. Parvani confronted Patel about the remarks Patel made about him behind his back. “I heard all the sh*t you were talking about me,” Parvani told Patel during the season opener. “You called me gay and you compared to me a Richter scale of gayness. You think that’s cool, spreading rumors about someone that they’re gay? You’re gay and you should know better than most about that.” Parvani was also upset that Patel dogged his relationship with Richa Sadana. Parvani then told Patel if he talks about him again, he would “put your f**king face in the ground.”

Patel was shaken and the exchange created a divide as Patel’s older brother Shaan confronted Parvani during Brian Benni’s birthday party. Patel tweeted about the first episode, offering his side of the story. “I never called @vishal_parvani gay,” he tweeted. “I never said he s**ks d*ck.” Adding, “I did joke that he was on the Kinsey Scale (which LITERALLY includes straight people). Regardless, his response of violence is absolutely disgusting.”
Adding, “The Richter Scale measures earthquakes,” he wrote in response to Parvani’s comment during the first episode. “The Kinsey Scale measures sexuality (including heterosexuality). @vishal_parvani doesn’t even know what he’s mad about.”
The second episode wasn’t as explosive between Parvani and Patel, instead, it caused friction amongst the mothers. The mothers gathered for happy hour at the Patel house and when the discussion about how Parvani threatened Patel with violence arose, Parvani’s mother suddenly left, visibly upset.

Patel shared during the episode that he apologized to Parvani and said he always has love for him. “I love Vishal & know how real his love for Richa is,” he tweeted. “So Months ago, when asked if Vishal is gay, I joked (once) ‘no he’s isn’t gay, but sexuality is a spectrum (I.e. the Kinsey Scale) which spans I’d give oral, I’d receive it, I’d do neither.’”
“Sadly, the game of the telephone turned this into something much more nefarious,” Patel continued in his tweet. “I still shouldn’t have said it, am sorry how much it hurt him, and apologized multiple times. Always have love for him.”
A fan wondered why Patel didn’t just explain his side during the first episode. “You should have posted this last week,” the fan asked. “This situation is understandable. You sound completely reasonable here and nice. Last week you were acting like he was a psycho. I hope yall are good now and its nice you said you love him. He was just really hurt.”
But Patel explained he felt the need to further explain when he received backlash during the first episode. “I didn’t wanna ruin what people heard on tv but seeing all the mean tweets made it too hard not to clarify what I actually said,” he wrote.
