Earl “Terry” Hardbarger, 73, of Elizabeth, WV, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at Camden Clark Medical Center. Born in Ritchie County, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Martha Valentine Hardbarger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Sonny Hardbarger and a sister Florence Roberts.
A 1967 graduate of Wirt County High School, he worked at C. H. Hiest in Marietta, Ohio, at Wirt Metals in Elizabeth, WV, and the Department of Highways. A Christian by faith, he attended Big Island Run Church. His hobbies included being outdoors, sitting on the back porch feeding deer and squirrels and watching all the wildlife, gardening and farming.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rosa Hardbarger; children Tina Munday, Tim (Missy) Hardbarger and Terry (Emily) Hardbarger; his grandchildren Ryan Munday, Kelsi Hayes, Taran and Kelly Hardbarger and Lakin and Glory Hardbarger and great-grandchildren Charlotte Munday, Gracie Hayes and Rhett Hardbarger; and his siblings Mae Clevenger, Bob Hardbarger, Ida Gay Roberts, Buck (Ginny) Hardbarger, Lawrence (Judy) Hardbarger, Roger Hardbarger, Bill (Vicki) Hardbarger, Bub (Sheila) Hardbarger and Joe Hardbarger.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, off Windy Ridge, WV. Matheny Whited Funeral Home was honored to assist the family.
