Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Manila Galleria celebrate Pride Month – The Manila Times

CROWNE Plaza and Holiday Inn Manila Galleria are one with IHG Hotels and Resorts and IHG Philippines in celebrating the colorful and joyful Pride Month 2022 with the theme “Stronger Together” promoting diversity, equity and inclusion at the workplace and the community.

The highlights of the activities include The Pride Talk on June 22 and Pride Day Friday parade around Ortigas Center on June 24.

It was also the commencement of hotel employees in joining Out and Open, one of IHG’s Employee Resource Groups for colleagues identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, (LGBTQ+) and allies.

Out and Open provides a platform for all employees, members and allies to participate in LGBTQ+ focused conversations, education and celebrations to foster an all-inclusive culture and work environment.

Guest speakers of The Pride Talk were Mickey Alonso, luxury core specialist from IHG Philippines and Suzy Lee, head of Data and Technology of JG Summit Holdings Inc., who shared their knowledge and experiences as they discussed important topics on SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identification, Gender Expression, and Sex Characteristics), handling LGBTQIA + guests and inspirational stories about acceptance, empowerment, self-care and self-love.

On the last Friday afternoon of June, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn associates showed support to the members of LGBTQAI+ as they carried out their first-ever Pride Parade in Ortigas Center.

Gibeth Gloria, executive assistant manager, said that at IHG, associates and colleagues do more and excel even more at work when they embrace their truth and uniqueness, and when they feel accepted, understood and they belong.
