Charli XCX Dedicates Discord Performance To The Gay Boys: ‘I Love You’ – Pride.com
Charli XCX knows her audience!
The beloved pop star and “Hot In It” singer-songwriter performed a 30-minute set for Discord as a part of the communication app’s Snowsgiving celebrations and in it, she shared love for the backbone of her fanbase.
The set included songs that span her career, starting with “Track 10” and progressing into “Gone”, “Move Me”, “Constant Repeat”, “Baby”, “Beg for You”, “Boys”, and “Vroom Vroom”. On theme with her latest album Crash, XCX lounges on S&M cars and sings live with plenty of strobe lights and bisexual lighting. We even get choreography and live vocals, including some bleeped out F-bombs.
Just before performing “Boys”, XCX looked into the camera to say, “I’d like to dedicate this song to all the gay boys out there watching. I love you.”
She’s talking about us! The gays have long been the earliest and loudest supporters of XCX, and she knows it!
The concert was the finale of Discord’s 6th annual Snowsgiving, which “brings together our communities for a weeklong celebration filled with interactive games, live events, charity donations, snowy surprises, and so much more.” Dodi, LofI Girl and The Trills also participated in the event, their exclusive live performances hosted on Discord’s Town Hall server.
Even though the link for XCX’s performance is unlisted, it currently has over 75,000 views.
