Bogdanovic Will Sit Vs. Mavericks, Jazz Add Preseason Broadcast – KSL Sports
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Bojan Bogdanovic will miss his second consecutive preseason game when the Utah Jazz face off against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.
The forward missed Monday’s preseason opener as he deals with shoulder soreness stemming from his play with the Croatian National Team prior to the Olympics.
Bogdanovic was unable to undergo full contract practice with the team prior to Monday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs as the team is being cautious with what it has deemed a minor injury.
The Jazz were also without forward Rudy Gay in Monday’s 111-85 blowout loss. The new Jazzman had surgery during the offseason to remove bone spurs in his right heel and isn’t expected to join the team until early in the regular season.
Both Rudy Gobert and Joe Ingles also sat out Monday’s loss to the Spurs due to rest but were not listed on the team’s injury report Tuesday.
Wednesday’s meeting with the Mavericks will mark the Jazz’s final road test of the preseason before returning home to face the New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks next week.
Jazz To Televise Final Preseason Game
Fans were surprised to learn that yesterday’s preseason debut wasn’t going to be televised in Utah. AT&T SportsNet wasn’t covering the game, and local blackouts restricted fans from watching the game on NBA League Pass.
On Tuesday the Jazz announced changes to the team’s preseason broadcast schedule which will now include AT&T SportsNet carrying the team’s final preseason game against Milwaukee on October 13.
Fans have become increasingly frustrated with the lack of streaming options to watch the team. Last week it was announced that Dish Network was dropping AT&T SportsNet from their channel lineup, further limiting fans’ options to find the games.
For the upcoming season, AT&T SportsNet will air 77 regular-season games, beginning with the home opener on October 20 at Vivint Arena against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The sports network will also carry the three remaining preseason games.
The Jazz and Mavericks will tip-off Thursday at 6:30 pm MT.
