19.05.2021 Trackunit has appointed Chi Sen Gay as senior vice president to manage its new Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore and has opened new locations in Japan and Australia.
Gay joins the company after 10 years with Schneider Electric where he was head of data centre software solutions. He began his career in 2001 as a partner manager with CA Technologies, becoming sales director for the company four years later. In 2008 he moved to Sun Mircosystems as channels director in Indonesia, leaving for IBM the following year to become business leader of software. He joined Schneider Electric in 2011 as director of data centre infrastructure management solutions responsible for Asia Pacific, Japan and China, and was later promoted to head of data centre software solutions for Asia Pacific, Japan, Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America.
Gay said: “I’m excited and energised by this new role at Trackunit in this strategically important and growing region. Having spent more than two decades in the region’s tech industry, improving data centre uptime and availability through digitisation, I see a great deal of symmetry in what is now happening in construction. People in this region are highly interested in technology and keen to realise its possibilities! I look forward to leading the Trackunit team as we support construction through its own digital transformation, changing the way equipment and machines are operated and maintained and helping to eliminate downtime.”
Trackuni chief executive Soeren Brogaard, added: “I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Chi Sen Gay and the opening of a new regional headquarters and offices to better serve Asia Pacific – one of the largest global construction equipment markets and home to some of the most technologically advanced OEMs. We have a growing installed customer base in the region and it’s important that Trackunit puts feet on the ground to help them realise the efficiency, productivity and profitability benefits which digital transformation means for their businesses.”
