A&E puts Knoxville on display in a new WWE show starring Kane — we have an exclusive clip – Knoxville News Sentinel

Without Kane, The Undertaker’s story would have a big piece missing — just like the Big Red Monster’s original mask.

The fictional brothers will be the focus of Sunday’s episode of “WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures,” a new A&E show about WWE superstars tracking down missing pieces of the company’s memorabilia.

Knox News has an exclusive preview of the episode, which you can watch here ahead of the TV debut.

Episode puts Knoxville on display

Kane, known in real life as Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this month for his illustrious career, which started in 1997 with arguably the greatest debut of all time.

The mask he wore to the ring at the Badd Blood pay-per-view, interrupting a match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, is missing from WWE’s collection.

So, The Undertaker paid Jacobs a visit at his downtown Knoxville office to see what they could do about it.

The episode features shots of the City-County building, Gay Street, Jacobs’ wrestling school and his home, where the mayor keeps his own Kane treasures.

The Undertaker also points out the Knoxville Civic Coliseum where the lifelong friends and foes had their first match as part of the Smoky Mountain Wrestling promotion.

“Most Wanted Treasures” episodes are preceded by a WWE biographical series presented under A&E’s “Biography” banner.

These episodes include behind-the-scenes looks at superstars, including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Booker T, Bret Hart and Mick Foley.

The “Biography” shows start at 8 p.m. followed by “Most Wanted Treasures” at 10 p.m.

Other superstars on the hunt

WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon and WWE superstar Paul “Triple H” Levesque, her husband and the company’s chief operating officer, lead a team of collectors in the latter program.

Knox Country Mayor Glenn Jacobs dons a Kane mask as he searches his home collection for the original version alongside his fictional brother, The Undertaker, as part of a new A&E program “WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures.” Jacobs was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year.

A.J. Francis, a former NFL player and WWE superstar in training, hits the road with the wrestling legends to “investigate, negotiate, bid and travel across the country,” according to a WWE news release.

Ric Flair, Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Jerry “The King” Lawler are among the legends also participating in the hunt.

Other items the series hopes to track down include Andy Kaufman’s neck brace and Andre The Giant’s passport.

“We are thrilled to unveil the stories behind some of the greatest Legends and moments in WWE history,” McMahon said in the release. “Together with A&E, we’ve created an incredible slate of programming steeped in nostalgia that will inspire and entertain audiences worldwide.”
